On Fujitsu LIFEBOOK U904, the fingerprint sensor is my favorite biometric device. I use it for logon

and for many other applications.fingerprintsensor

Such scanners works best if you can see your finger while scanning.

With Fujitsu STYLISTIC Q704 Hybrid Tablet the fingerprint scanner is at the back.

It is tricky to slide your finger exactly on it and the same way every time. That causes me to try several times when registering fingerprints via Workplace Protect:
